Physician Assistant

Alexander Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team of orthopedic specialists. In this role, you will work closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care, from initial assessments to treatment and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and obtain detailed medical histories
• Assist in diagnostic procedures and develop treatment plans with the supervising physician
• Perform various clinical procedures, including joint injections and wound care, first assist in the OR
• Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions and treatment options
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans under the supervision of physicians
• Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Active Florida state license to practice as a Physician Assistant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Previous experience in orthopedic settings is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in surgical setting is preferred but no required.
