Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide patient care and support in both home and community settings
- Record consumer’s condition (weight, food intake, output) and document in health records.
- Direct and participate in social and recreational activities, both inside and outside the facility
- Engage clients in social activities and promote community involvement
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including meal preparation and cooking
- Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Observe patients for changes in behavior or condition, reporting any concerns to supervisors
- Follow daily schedules and attend in-service training
- Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms; launder and inventory linens and clothing.
- Other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- No criminal record
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- CMA certification preferred (or must obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, stooping, standing, etc.)
