Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker

Job Summary

Alexander Foods is seeking a dependable delivery driver to transport food products safely and professionally to local and regional customers. Responsibilities include loading and unloading orders, verifying deliveries, maintaining product temperatures, completing delivery paperwork, inspecting the assigned vehicle, and providing excellent customer service.

Candidates must have or be willing to obtain a Missouri Class E driver’s license; Alexander Foods will pay the required testing fees. Drivers must maintain a safe driving record and comply with all applicable DOT requirements, including vehicle inspections, hours-of-service rules, delivery logs, load securement, medical certification when required, and company safety and accident-reporting procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Duties

• Safely deliver food products to local and regional customers.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload customer orders.
• Verify order accuracy and obtain proof of delivery.
• Maintain required refrigerated and frozen product temperatures.
• Complete delivery logs, invoices, inspection reports, and other paperwork.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow assigned routes and communicate delays or delivery issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, product shortages, and customer concerns immediately.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Assist with warehouse or inventory tasks when needed.
• Follow all company food-safety, vehicle-safety, and DOT procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Missouri Class E driver’s license or willingness to obtain one; Alexander Foods will pay required testing fees.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements, including medical certification when required.
• Ability to follow hours-of-service, delivery-log, load-securement, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to pass required background, driving-record, drug, alcohol, or medical screenings.
• Ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work early mornings, varying routes, and occasional overtime.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
• Experience driving delivery trucks or working in food distribution is preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
