Alexander Design is seeking a full-time Project Designer with 4 years of experience to join our dynamic Los Angeles studio. The ideal candidate is a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented professional excited to contribute to high-end residential projects within a small, collaborative, and design-focused team. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from concept through construction, with an emphasis on creative design development, and support both FF&E and installation processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage projects through all phases, with emphasis on schematic design, design development, construction administration, and installation.
- Collaborate with the Principal and design team to develop and present innovative design concepts.
- Prepare presentations and materials for client meetings and assist in leading presentations to communicate design intent.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors across multiple residential projects.
- Produce CAD and/or Revit drawings, renderings, and construction documentation to support design.
- Review and coordinate architectural and construction documents to ensure design vision and project goals.
- Participate in site visits, construction meetings, and installations, providing design direction and resolving issues as they arise.
- Oversee custom furnishings by producing intent drawings, specifying materials/finishes, and reviewing shop drawings.
- Develop FF&E budgets, source and procure furnishings, fixtures, and accessories, and oversee orders from procurement through installation.
- Manage project team via both execution and delegation of design related tasks
