Trade Operations Analyst – Leading Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund (NYC)
A top-tier multi-strategy hedge fund in New York City is seeking a highly skilled Trade Operations Analyst to join its growing Operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in reconciliations, settlements, and Geneva, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants meaningful ownership of processes, systems, and projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily trade, cash, and position reconciliations across prime brokers, custodians, and internal systems (with heavy usage of Geneva).
• Oversee trade settlements across equities, derivatives, fixed income, and FX.
• Resolve breaks related to trades, P&L, corporate actions, fees, and financing.
• Manage trade capture, confirmations, and lifecycle events across asset classes.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in positions, pricing, commissions, and stock borrow.
• Liaise with Trading, Risk, Technology, and external partners to resolve time-sensitive issues.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of Trade Operations or Middle Office experience at a hedge fund, investment manager, or prime broker.
• Hands-on experience with Geneva is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of trade settlements, reconciliations, and post-trade workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel; exposure to Python or automation tools is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
