Private Equity Associate – Tech-Enabled Business Services
Location: Boston, MA
Level: 1st Year Associate
A high-performing Boston-based private equity firm is seeking a 1st Year Associate to join its growing investment team. The firm focuses exclusively on control investments in technology and tech-enabled business services, targeting high-growth, profitable companies across enterprise software, data, and digital infrastructure.
This is a rare opportunity to join a firm that has seen exceptional momentum over the past few years — having raised multiple oversubscribed funds, significantly scaled AUM, and built a senior team composed of some of the most respected names in tech private equity. The culture is analytical, collaborative, and execution-oriented, offering Associates true exposure across the full investment lifecycle in a high-conviction, low-ego environment.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Build and own detailed financial models to evaluate new investments
- Support execution of new deals, including diligence, coordination with advisors, and negotiation
- Conduct thematic research and identify potential investment theses and targets
- Assist in preparing investment committee materials and presenting findings to senior leadership
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams on key growth initiatives and strategic planning
- Track and analyze portfolio performance, including KPI monitoring and valuation updates
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 2–3 years of experience in investment banking (M&A or leveraged finance) or private equity
- Strong technical modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
- Exposure to or a genuine interest in technology and tech-enabled services
- Boston-based or committed to relocating to Boston long term
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative — comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced team
- Candidates with prior PE experience must be open to joining at the 1st Year Associate level
This is a high-impact role for someone looking to take the next step in their investing career at a focused and growing platform with significant capital to deploy and a strong deal pipeline.
