Duties
- Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and site safety measures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and forklifts to perform tasks like demo, framing, cutting, and finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Construct formwork and rebar frameworks for concrete structures following blueprint specifications
- Perform concrete work such as pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing to achieve smooth surfaces and structural integrity
- Perform Painting work such as interior and exterior work.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and heavy lifting procedures
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating construction tools and heavy machinery
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately
- Expertise in concrete forming, finishing, cutting, and pouring techniques
- Knowledge of framing, trim, and finish work
- Ability to estimate construction needs and materials for project planning (construction estimating)
- Familiarity with safety regulations specific to construction sites and adherence to safety protocol guidelines
- Experience working on diverse construction projects such as renovations or new builds using carpentry, plastering, flooring installation, and masonry skills
- Competence in interpreting construction plans and specifications for precise execution of tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance throughout the workday
- Skilled in operating power tools like drills, saws, concrete cutters, and various other tools with precision
