Alex’s Pizza, one of Philadelphia’s beloved pizza brands, is expanding to the iconic Ocean City, New Jersey Boardwalk. Known for our signature swirl pizzas, fast service, and fun, high-energy atmosphere, we’re excited to bring the same excellence and excitement to the shore. We are looking for a driven, hands-on Manager to lead our Ocean City team and ensure this new location delivers the same standout experience our Philly shop is known for.
Position Overview
The Manager will oversee daily operations, lead and motivate the team, uphold quality and service standards, and ensure smooth, efficient, customer-focused operations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain a fast-paced environment during peak boardwalk seasons.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing procedures
- Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment
- Uphold Alex’s Pizza brand standards, recipes, and service quality
- Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer concerns professionally
- Maintain a friendly, energetic, and efficient atmosphere
- Ensure prompt, accurate service during high-volume periods
Team Management
- Recruit, onboard, and schedule staff for seasonal and year-round needs
- Motivate team members through positive leadership and accountability
- Conduct performance check-ins and coach employees as needed
Financial & Administrative
- Monitor daily sales, labor, and cost controls
- Assist with weekly reporting and cash handling procedures
- Optimize staff schedules based on forecasted traffic and business needs
- Support marketing initiatives and seasonal promotions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food-service management required
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Familiarity with boardwalk/seasonal business operations is a plus
- Must be reliable, responsible, and customer-focused
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak-season hours
