We are a small, but rapidly growing company based right here in Salt Lake City. We are currently looking for a flexible and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team as an On-Call (floater) position to assist with dedicated routes.

The Role
- Route Variety: You will cover multiple routes, including daytime local, early morning local, and night linehauls.
- Schedule Preference: We schedule you for shifts based on your schedule. Please be sure to indicate which shifts you will be ready for.
- On-Call Dispatch: You must be readily available to dispatch within 2 hours of a call-out, day or night. (Note: Some routes may require coverage for multiple consecutive days).
- Top-Tier Professionalism: You will be responsible for transporting goods safely, adhering to FMCSA regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Compensation
- We pay a competitive rate of $35.00/hr for this role!
- We offer a passenger-ride along program
Requirements (The "Must-Haves")
- Must have a clean MVR for at least 5 years (personal and commercial).
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with proven driving experience.
- Active / Current DOT Medical Card.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission (automatic restrictions will not be considered).
- Ability to comfortably navigate and operate day cabs and sleepers with 53' dry vans.
- Bonus: Having a TWIC card is a plus, but not required!
Key Duties
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure absolute safety compliance.
- Plan routes effectively using GPS to optimize delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (Hours of Service) and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate proactively with office dispatch regarding delivery status or transit issues.
- Provide excellent, friendly customer service during deliveries.
Skills Needed to Succeed
- Familiarity with operating various types of tractor-trailers.
- Strong navigation skills (map reading and GPS technology).
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and your dispatch team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
