The Role
We’re looking for a Shop Manager who will own the heartbeat of our equipment, tool, and shop operations. This role combines hands-on technical skills, smart inventory management, and operational leadership to ensure our field teams are equipped and ready to deliver quality work every day. From maintaining a laser screed to staging tools for tomorrow’s pour, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our shop running like a well-oiled machine.
Key Responsibilities
- Become the subject matter expert (SME) in MaintainX and utilize it to manage everything from equipment PM schedules to shop and field consumables inventory.
- Prepare and stage field equipment for crews to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain work vehicle and trailers in compliance with Florida DOT requirements.
- Perform and coordinate maintenance and repairs for all equipment needed on a commercial job site (work trucks, power screeds and trowels, excavators, forklifts, hand power tools, etc.).
- Utilize Samsara fleet management software for work vehicle tracking for maintenance purposes.
- Leverage technology to track and manage consumables used in the field and shop.
- Provide real-time usage and consumption data for shop inventory to leadership.
- Own all aspects of facilities maintenance for both the shop and the office, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment.
- Lead, support, and develop employees. Foster a team environment beyond direct reporting lines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with members at all levels of the organization.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- Lead shop operations Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM to support field operations and team needs.

Qualifications
- 5 years in equipment maintenance, shop management, warehouse management or similar role (construction industry preferred).
- Experience with shop inventory management and preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity and interest in utilizing digital tools to simplify work order, inventory and equipment management.
- Mechanical aptitude across a variety of small and heavy equipment.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with MaintainX and Samsara (or similar Maintenance & Fleet Management Systems).
- CDL license & equipment operator certifications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
