TITLE: Patient Services Specialist, Spanish-Speaking

HOURS: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Our Physical Therapy practice is looking for a Patient Services Representative to join our administrative team for the months of January, February, and March, while one of our team members is out on extended leave. We look forward to welcoming a quality candidate to join us!

ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• You speak Spanish fluently.
• You have front office experience (even better if it's a medical setting).
• You’re proficient with Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft Office, and are comfortable learning a variety of apps and software to keep things running smoothly.
• You find great satisfaction in being productive, and in streamlining your processes for priority and efficiency.
• You take ownership of your downtime. During quiet moments, you look for ways to improve office organization, sharpen your skills, or support team needs.
• You strive for organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• You proactively pursue opportunities to improve your existing skills and learn new skills.
• You're not afraid to dive into a challenge, use the resources available, and ask questions when needed.
• You know that strong ethical standards are an important part of maintaining patient confidentiality and observing HIPAA regulations, as well as a foundation of team trust.
• You understand that mistakes are an inevitable step for growth and success, and you know how to own them and learn from them.

A LOOK AT YOUR TYPICAL DAY

• You'll start your morning being greeted by your team members with happy faces, high-fives, and the inevitable dad jokes.
• You'll get to greet our patients with a smile and a compliment, and verify that their records and schedules are up to date, smoothing out future bumps in the road. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds, and we take pride in being a compassionate, professional bright spot in their days!
• The schedule is your kingdom! You'll help patients schedule out their plan of care to ensure excellent attendance and optimal results. You'll check voice mails, text messages, and emails to make sure everyone is good to go, and direct other messages to the correct recipients. If a treatment slot opens up unexpectedly, you'll know which patients are ready to fill it.
• You'll provide your valuable input and feedback on our administrative workflows, and take an active part in helping us refine and grow our systems.
• You'll participate in collaboration with referring providers and insurance companies, ensuring communication flows steadily so our patients can receive the best care.
• During the time between patient arrivals and communications, you’ll contribute to additional tasks that could include medical records requests, processing walk-in referrals, and reviewing the next day’s schedule for accuracy.
• You’ll finish your work day knowing you’ve left every situation better than you found it, and that you’ve made a positive impact on our patients, our team, and our community.
