Role Description
This is a full-time Accounts Payable Accountant position located on-site in Birmingham, AL. The primary responsibilities include managing the organization’s outgoing payments by ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role involves verifying transaction details, reconciling accounts, resolving invoice discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. The role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions—including invoices and payment documentation—and preparing annual 1099 forms. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business and at least two years of accounting experience. Experience in accounts payable preferred.
