Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with the recipes and standards set by the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow proper food handling procedures and ensure cleanliness in the kitchen
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
- Assist with menu planning and contribute to creating new dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking station
- Ensure all food meets quality standards before serving
Skills
- Proficiency in culinary skills and techniques
- Experience in fine dining or similar upscale establishments
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to handle knives and kitchen equipment safely
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe creation
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures in a restaurant setting
- Previous experience in the food industry as a Line Cook or similar role
