Business Development Manager – Enterprise New BusinessUS MidWest Territory

Location: United States (South Central Region – Remote)

Travel: ~30–40%

The Role

AlertEnterprise is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive net-new enterprise business development across the US South Central region.

This role is hyper-focused on developing new business with enterprise end users and expanding AlertEnterprise’s presence across major organizations operating complex facilities and global workplaces.

This is a true enterprise hunter role. The primary objective is to identify, develop, and close new enterprise opportunities by building relationships with senior security and workplace leaders.

The role is designed for someone who thrives on:

  • Developing new markets and enterprise accounts
  • Building relationships with senior decision makers
  • Creating pipeline from the ground up
  • Winning complex enterprise SaaS deals
  • Opening strategic accounts in new industries

You will work directly with enterprise stakeholders including:

  • Chief Security Officers (CSO)
  • Directors of Physical Security
  • Corporate Security leadership
  • Workplace and Facilities leadership
  • Enterprise technology leaders responsible for identity and access governance

Success in this role comes from the ability to create opportunity where none previously existed, guide customers through complex buying processes, and position AlertEnterprise as a strategic platform for managing workplace access and identity governance.

Territory

This role covers the US MidWest region, working with enterprise organizations across a broad geographic territory.

This is a home-based role, with regular travel across the region to meet customers, attend industry events, and develop strategic opportunities.

Reporting Structure

You will operate within a matrix sales structure, including:

  • Direct reporting line to the Global Sales Director
  • Local operational alignment with the VP of US Sales

You will also work closely with:

  • Sales Engineers
  • Marketing and SDR teams
  • Product and engineering teams
  • Customer success and delivery teams

This structure provides both global strategic alignment and regional operational support.

A Field-Driven Role

While this is a home-based remote position, success in this role is not achieved sitting behind a desk.

Enterprise sales in the physical security and identity space is a relationship-driven industry, and the most successful sellers are highly visible in the market and actively engaged with customers and industry networks.

To be successful in this role, you should expect to spend significant time:

  • Meeting enterprise customers in person
  • Networking with security leaders and industry peers
  • Attending and hosting industry events and trade shows
  • Participating in regional security forums and executive briefings
  • Building relationships with consultants, advisors, and industry influencers
  • Traveling across the territory to develop strategic accounts

While the role offers the flexibility of working from home, the reality is that success comes from being in the field building relationships and creating opportunities.

If you enjoy networking, developing relationships, and representing your company in the market, this role offers significant opportunity.

If you are looking for a desk-based remote sales role, this position is unlikely to be the right fit.

What You Will Do

  • Build and manage a high-value enterprise sales pipeline
  • Identify and develop net-new enterprise opportunities
  • Run complex enterprise deal cycles (typically 6–12 months)
  • Lead enterprise RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes
  • Engage directly with executive-level stakeholders
  • Deliver compelling presentations and commercial proposals
  • Work with Sales Engineers to deliver solution demonstrations
  • Collaborate with marketing and SDR teams to generate opportunities
  • Build relationships with security consultants, system integrators, and industry advisors
  • Represent AlertEnterprise at industry events and conferences
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce
