Alert 360 Helper Technician
The Helper Technician supports the Install Technician team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage systems including intrusion alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, and related hardware. This role ensures job site readiness, assists with equipment handling, and maintains safety and cleanliness standards. The Helper Technician plays a key role in enabling efficient operations and delivering high-quality service to Alert 360 customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist Install Technicians with setup, installation and basic troubleshooting of low-voltage systems.
· Transport, organize, and prepare tools, parts, and materials for job sites.
· Maintain clean and compliant work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
· Assist with cable routing, drilling, and mounting tasks under the guidance of a technician.
· Document completed tasks and report issues or delays to supervisors.
· Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies throughout daily operations.
· Provide courteous support to customers and team members on-site.
· Remain available for additional calls or assignments as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATION
· High school diploma or GED.
· 1-3 years of experience in technical assistance, maintenance, or installation support.
· Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or low-voltage systems.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
· Commitment to safety protocols and compliance standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Regularly required to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
· Ability to work in confined spaces, climb stairs, and navigate attics or crawlspaces.
· Tolerance for high-temperature environments (above 80°F) for prolonged periods.
· Fine motor skills for hand tools and standard office equipment.
· Must have visual acuity and the ability to distinguish details at various distances.
· Role is classified as safety sensitive
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
