Here's what you'd do:
- Perform duties to prepare necessary documentation, arrange for the shipping and receiving of products and materials, and maintain related records, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
- Check all documentation for accuracy (packing lists, conversions, addresses, and other related data).
- Separate documentation packets as needed and distribute.
- Enter data into the computer to generate bills of lading or air bills for shipments.
- Match test certifications with orders and distribute as designated.
- Generate shipping reports and maintain files relating to all shipping documentation.
- Communicate with designated parties internally to determine specific shipping instructions as needed.
- Calculate dimensions and weights as needed.
- Check the status of shipments in transit as needed.
- Respond to inquiries, provide directions, and other information to drivers.
- Prepare any range of special or periodic reports relating to departmental activity.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
- Needs the ability to perform all duties within the limitations of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), quality, and productivity requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Support packing area as needed or designate.
- There are no supervisor responsibilities with this position.

- This position operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- There will be a need to enter the production floor, and employees may be subject to hazards including fumes, odors, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and noise.
- This needs the ability to safely maneuver throughout the plant and properly wear safety gear at all times.
- May be subject to environmental conditions.
- Frequently standing for long periods of time, walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands or arms, repetitive motion, close visual acuity, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Employee frequently lifts or moves up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
- Job entails roughly 30%-40% administrative tasks and 60% to 70% shop floor, loading trucks, material handling, packing in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Occasional; sitting, step up, or crawl.
