Acara Solutions is seeking a Principal RF Test Automation Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Carlsbad CA
Overview:
The Principal RF Test Automation Engineer leads technical innovation and provides training and guidance across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end software and hardware solutions to automate complex test processes for the manufacture of advanced RF devices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead company-wide test automation initiatives for RF hardware, collaborating with engineering and production to implement world-class test software.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for RF systems and components, with a strong focus on NI LabView.
- Partner with design and systems engineers to validate performance standards and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Drive the test engineering function for new RF product development and R&D projects from concept through launch.
- Perform RF testing using advanced equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Analyze and interpret test data; prepare detailed performance, quality, and reliability reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in RF systems and components.
- Create automated test scripts to improve testing speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of specialized functional experience, OR:
- 14 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, OR
- 8 years with a Master's degree, OR
- 5 years with a PhD.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and implementing automated test software for RF hardware and manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in LabView preferred.
- Proven leadership ability in training and mentoring engineering teams.
