Acara Solutions is hiring an Inspection Technician for our client in Hood River, OR.
Schedule: M-F, 1st shift
- Start time: Flexible, can start any time between 5:30am-7:30am
- Hours: 40 hours a week with potential overtime available
Pay: $26-33/hr, DOE
Employment Type: Full-Time Temp to perm after 12 month contract
Overview:
The Inspection Technician is responsible for performing detailed mechanical and visual inspections of in-process and finished goods to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role will take ownership of critical inspection, calibration, and packaging processes.
Job duties:
* Read, interpret and evaluate inspection process in final inspection and tagging of assemblies and components.
* Log inspection data including serial numbers, FPY, deviations, and other quality metrics.
* Inspect machined and assembled parts as necessary by utilizing indicators, micrometres, callipers and related devices for optimal accuracy.
* Own tool calibration by working cross functionally with purchasing to ensure tools on the production line are within certification with minimal impact to production
* Log inspection data including serial numbers, FPY, deviations, and other quality metrics.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minium 1 year relevant experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
* Automotive or Manufacturing Experience Encouraged
* Understanding of ISO Quality standards related to manufacturing and ability to use precise measuring equipment
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
* Must have a strong understanding of the relationship between tooling and various metal compounds.
* Works with minimal supervision and manages the process.
* Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
* Understanding of ISO Quality standards related to manufacturing and ability to use precise measuring equipment
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
