Aleksandra Nova Design, Inc. (ANID) is a luxury interior design studio specializing in high‑end residential and boutique hospitality projects. Our work is defined by refined design, disciplined execution, and a fully integrated delivery model that carries projects from concept through installation and closeout.
We are seeking a senior‑level Design Project Manager to lead project execution, protect design integrity, and act as the operational anchor between creative vision, clients, and construction teams.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Design Project Manager (DPM) is the bridge between creative vision and execution.
This role oversees the entire lifecycle of design projects — from conception through delivery and closeout — ensuring that approved design intent is executed accurately, timelines are met, procurement is handled correctly, and communication remains clear and professional across all parties.
The DPM does not redesign. This role executes, coordinates, documents, and enforces process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, builders, and consultants
- Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain professional communication standards
- Establish and manage project schedules and deliverables
- Lead client, consultant, and contractor meetings and presentations
Construction Administration & Site Oversight
- Conduct regular site visits and issue written site reports
- Coordinate with builders and trades on design‑related deliverables
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field conditions for alignment with approved design
- Implement minor field adjustments required due to structural, mechanical, or site constraints
Procurement & Financial Oversight
- Oversee the procurement process from approval through delivery
- Ensure all purchase orders are accurate, approved, and issued correctly
- Track lead times, deliveries, damages, and claims
- Manage multi‑site project budgets (often exceeding $500K )
- Approve vendor payments and ensure financial accuracy
Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Delegate tasks to junior designers and support staff
- Mentor team members on technical execution and process
- Review project performance and staffing needs during financial reviews
- Maintain accountability to internal SOPs and delivery standards
Technical & Documentation Review
- Review AutoCAD/Revit drawing sets for coordination and completeness
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, including ADA and local building standards
- Oversee administration of construction documentation, addenda, and clarifications
Business Development Support
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through professional networks
- Represent the firm professionally with clients, vendors, and industry partners
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 5–10 years of professional interior design experience
- Minimum 2 years in a lead, supervisory, or project management role
- Strong technical knowledge of construction documentation and field coordination
- Proven experience managing high‑value projects and complex timelines
SOFTWARE & SKILLS
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Experience with project management platforms (Studio Designer, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active projects
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Must be available for regular site visits
- This is a fully in‑office position
