Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Beertender to join our team. As a Beertender, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while providing patrons with a diverse selection of beers. This position requires a passion for hospitality and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Serve a variety of beers, ensuring accurate pouring and presentation.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and answer questions about the beer selection.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies as needed.
- Monitor guest behavior and ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and placing orders for supplies when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a bar setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential.
- Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately.
- A strong understanding of beer varieties and brewing processes is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
