Purpose


The Title Reviewer is a remote role in the NY Foreclosure Department that specializes in the review of title and chain of assignments, resolution of title issues, and ensuring the firm is clear to proceed with the foreclose action at various stages of the foreclosure process.




Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities



  • Title review and analysis; examine chain of title, deeds, mortgages, assignment and satisfactions for New York properties 

  • Curative Actions; identify and resolve title issues such as missing assignment, open judgments, liens and breaks in chain of title

  • Identify potential title issues and relay to the appropriate team

  • Identifying assignment issues and corresponding with clients on resolution, including but not limited to drafting and recording the necessary assignments.

  • Ensure all billable items are properly billed in accordance with client directives

  • Draft documents and file executed copies with the courts

  • Ability to transition between multiple websites and windows at one time to review and update information

  • Ensure clear and organized communication containing feedback, progress, and results of specific assigned projects

  • Ability to handle a high volume workload in a fast paced environment

  • Self-manage daily workloads and ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Other duties as-assigned




Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Minimum 3 year of foreclosure experience 

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel) preferred, prior experience in foreclosure processing client systems preferred, previous law firm or loan processing experience preferred.   

  • Ability to type quickly and accurately is a must.
