What We Are Looking For

Aldridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Controls Specialist to join our talented and energetic team.Guaranteed Maximum Profit (GMP) contract structure establishes a cost ceiling for all construction activities while maintaining full transparency and accountability between the Owner and Contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a detailed GMP that includes all labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, general conditions, contingencies, and allowances required to complete the project.

What You’ll Do

  • Align the GMP with preliminary & baseline schedule to confirm labor and equipment forecasts.
  • Facilitate coordination between estimating, project management, field operations, and engineering to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Validate revisions to ensure changes are incorporated into the GMP.
  • Maintain a formal GMP Risk Register.
  • Work closely with Project Management Team to:
    • Develop bid packages aligned with the GMP breakdown.
    • Analyze subcontractor invoices for GMP compliance.
    • Track buyout savings, procurement variances, and committed costs against the GMP.
    • Maintain transparency and documentation for all GMP allowances, contingencies, and cost transfers.
    • Monitor potential change orders to ensure alignment within the GMP.
    • Ensure cost reporting ties back directly to GMP structure.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and clients to:
    • Respond to inquiries regarding GMP, assumptions, and cost structure.
    • Maintain all GMP logs including revisions, risk, allowances, and contingency usage.
    • Prepare and present GMP updates, reconciliation reports, and status briefings.
  • Support the construction phase of the project by:
    • Validating field production rates against the GMP and updating cost forecasts as conditions change.
    • Participating in schedule updates, re-phasing discussions, and risk reviews.
    • Partnering closely with project management and field leadership teams to manage work that impacts GMP cost categories.
  • Support project closeout through:
    • Reconciling final project costs again the GMP, including unused allowances and contingencies.
    • Preparing final GMP cost summary for client turnover.
    • Documenting lessons learned for future GMP improvement.
Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related industry.
  • Construction experience preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • A clear and concise communicator able to work seamlessly with clients, operations, and executive teams.

What We Offer

The annual base pay for this role is between $75,000-$125,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for a bonus. Aldridge provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following:
