We are looking for a detail oriented and analytical minded professional to join our dynamic team as a Trader. This position will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and trading client portfolios as well as managing the trading system (Tamarac). The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of financial products, including ETFs, index and mutual funds and separate accounts.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately trade and rebalance client accounts
- Ensure asset allocation and tactical allocations are accurately implemented and periodically reviewed
- Ensure consistency of trading models and models in reporting
- Generate portfolio reviews with proposed recommendations
- Manage trading software to ensure accuracy
Critical Attributes for Success
- Understanding of investment accounts and their taxable status
- Independently make solid judgement calls with respect to impact of trading on taxable accounts
- Focused on accuracy and quantitative-based decision making
- Strong and proactive communicator
- Ability to meet deadlines
Education and Experience
- At least one year of investment industry experience
- Familiarity working with trading software tools (Tamarac) and custodians (TD Ameritrade, Schwab), preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
