Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, stocking shelves, and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse and retail environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs. The Stock Associate plays a vital role in maintaining product availability and supporting overall store operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control through accurate tracking and replenishment of stock using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Stock shelves, produce sections, and maintain proper merchandising standards in accordance with company guidelines
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing goods
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of storage areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Support retail sales activities through cashiering, customer service, and product assistance
- Utilize organizational skills to keep inventory organized and accessible for team members
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding stock levels, product placement, and safety procedures
- Support packaging tasks for outgoing shipments as needed
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or retail sales background preferred but not required
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, forklift operation, pallet jacks, and shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Knowledge of retail math, merchandising standards, and customer service best practices
