Summary of Position
We are seeking a friendly Guest Service Representative to join our team. As a Guest Service Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring guests have a pleasant experience during their visit. You will provide information about the property and local attractions, assist with check-in and check-out, and respond to guest inquiries and complaints. Our ideal candidate is a people-person who enjoys meeting new people and has a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Position is full time and would involve working on Saturdays. Days off would be Sunday and Thursday. Knowledge of SPI Property Management System a plus. Pay is dependent upon experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Handle special requests from owners and guests.
- Lead all guest registration and departures.
- Receive initial comments from guests; relay to proper department for any action.
- Assist, as required, with security level key production and issuance.
- Maintain and oversee exchange guest reservations for proper information.
- Relay employee concerns to GM.
- Assist all owners and guests needs as presented at the front desk.
- Responsible for maintaining and managing inventory control, ordering and storage of front office supplies and assisting with maintaining and managing gift shop inventory.
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all front office locations, including storage areas.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and vendors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- At all times projects a favorable image of the Alderwood group and your respective property.
- Perform any and all other duties deemed appropriate and necessary by the resort’s supervisors, managers and/or mod.
Knowledge & Skills
- Must have solid computer and cashiering skills.
- Must have the ability to efficiently operate computer systems, including the PMS system, key system, and telephone system functions within 30 days.
- Must possess a high level of customer service skills; including being personable with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Must always be well groomed and presentable.
- Must have good communication skills and solid command of the English language; both oral and written.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Must be well informed about the resort and community attractions.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
