Givens Aldersgate is looking for an experienced Director of Social Services who will be responsible for evaluating the mental, social, and emotional needs of residents to ensure overall well-being. In this role you will serve as a resident’s advocate and liaison. You will work in a collaborative manner to ensure quality care.
What you’ll do:
- Assist on an as needed basis, in providing support for IL residents as they adjust to the Aldersgate community environment.
- Recommend, develop and implement changes and/or procedures to improve the overall effectiveness of responsible areas.
- Ensure compliance with various local, state, and federal regulatory agencies as it relates to areas of responsibility.
- Provide guidance and education to residents regarding various insurance benefits or coverage.
- Directs the resolution of resident issues and coordinates interaction with residents, family members, and other appropriate departments.
- Direct and resolve residential problems or concerns through complaint investigations. Mediates situations between resident/family and resident/facility and assist with conflict resolution.
- Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, co-workers, management, and external contracts.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work and/or related human service degree.
- 1-3 years of experience working with special populations or health care field with experience in senior living.
Compensation: $60,000 - $66,000
