What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Estimator position at Alder Home Craft?
Alder Home Craft LLC is a licensed General Contractor specializing in reconstruction and remodeling. We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our team and grow in the insurance restoration industry. Training will be provided — no prior estimating experience required, but construction knowledge is a plus.
What You'll Do
- Assist in creating accurate estimates from photos and project notes
- Review insurance scopes and documentation
- Support project managers with revisions and follow-ups
- Maintain organized records in our system
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and insurance adjusters
- Learn Xactimate and estimating best practices
- Help support sales with follow up calls to homeowners
Qualifications
- Some construction knowledge or interest in learning
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills (email, Excel, CRM)
Preferred but not required: Xactimate experience, insurance knowledge, prior restoration or construction exposure
Compensation & Benefits
- Base: $45,000/year
- Weekly Performance Bonus: Eligible after 90-day probationary period

Additional Requirements
- On-site work in Gilbert, AZ
- Office hours are 8AM- 5PM, Monday-Friday
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test
