Duties
- Install and configure cameras and security alarms, network cables, including Ethernet, and low voltage wiring in residential settings
- Set up and troubleshoot cameras, nvr units, routers, apps on phones.
- Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, power tools, ladders, and electrical testers to complete installations safely and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the installation process
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a installer or technician or in a similar field service role involving network installation and electrical work
- Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cable termination using wire crimpers and wire strippers, and equipment testing with ohmmeters or similar tools
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in outdoor environments using ladders or mechanical lifts as needed
- Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components involved in telecommunications setups
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating vehicles in various weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Physical capability to perform outdoor work including climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces
