What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1.0 FTE Substitute Elementary Teacher position at Alden Central School District?
Salary per diem: $160.00/Day
Alden Primary School & Alden Intermediate School
Terms:
Assignment expected to involve regular, daily coverage for a period of approximately 20 school days, or until the District fills the position on a permanent basis. Assignment may conclude sooner or be extended based on the District’s staffing needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching or working with digital literacy, educational technology, computer science, or related instructional areas;
- Familiarity with integrating technology into classroom instruction and supporting students in developing digital skills;
- Current NYS certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) and/or Childhood Education (1-6);
- Experience working in a school setting and the ability to effectively manage a classroom and deliver engaging instruction;
- Ability to identify and utilize different instructional resources and methods to support the learning needs of students in grades K-5;
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with other staff, parents, students, and administration;
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility in completing daily tasks;
- Exhibit proficiency with technology, communications, and information systems to support learning.
