The Role

We’re looking for a Research Product Manager to define, organize, and execute Aldea’s research strategy. In this role, you’ll work closely with our research scientists and ML engineers to manage the scope, priorities, and direction of Aldea’s research efforts. You’ll bring technical structure to exploratory work—turning high-level questions into clear milestones, measurable goals, and integrated outcomes that feed directly into product development.

This role sits at the intersection of research operations, technical product management, and applied AI, ensuring the research organization is aligned, efficient, and delivering maximum impact toward Aldea’s broader product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Research to define research priorities, timelines, and success metrics across voice AI and LLM initiatives.
• Translate ambiguous research ideas into structured workstreams with clear hypotheses, milestones, and dependencies.
• Manage and continuously refine the research roadmap—balancing long-term scientific goals with short-term product impact.
• Facilitate collaboration between research, engineering, and product teams to ensure findings are transferable, reproducible, and production-ready.
• Track progress, synthesize insights, and communicate outcomes and implications to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Create processes and frameworks for research intake, documentation, and evaluation to support scaling the research team.
• Identify opportunities to align research investments with customer needs and commercial applications.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of product management experience, ideally in AI/ML or applied research environments.
• Deep understanding of ML development lifecycles, model evaluation, and experimentation workflows.
• Strong organizational and program management skills—comfortable defining priorities across multiple simultaneous research efforts.
• Technical fluency in machine learning concepts (training, inference, data pipelines, evaluation metrics).
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex research into actionable direction.
• Background in computer science, AI, or related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
