The role of a Material Handler is to safely move raw materials and completed precast concrete structures to maintain in inventory, prepare for shipment or load on trucks for delivery. The Material Handler will ensure that products are properly prepared for shipment and documented for accurate inventory management.

Position Overview
The role of a Material Handler is to safely move raw materials and completed precast concrete structures to maintain in inventory, prepare for shipment or load on trucks for delivery. The Material Handler will ensure that products are properly prepared for shipment and documented for accurate inventory management.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.
- Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling and securing product in correct location.
- Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment.
- Communicates and ensures all safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing their responsibilities.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2 years of heavy equipment material handling (Driving lifts with weight range above 25k and or excavating equipment)
- 1 years of inventory control experience
- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture
- Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others
- Promotes positive teamwork culture
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
- Required to bend, kneel and reach above head
- Must be able to climb ladders (up and down) to access large machinery regularly during shift
