We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of various pets, ensuring they look their best while also promoting their health and well-being. This role requires both technical skills and a compassionate approach to animal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and any observed health concerns.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper techniques for restraint when necessary.
- Assist in pet sitting or care as needed, ensuring all animals receive proper attention during their stay.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of pet care and customer service are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling is preferred.
- Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
- Knowledge of equine grooming is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals with a strong commitment to their well-being.
