Role Description
This is an entry-level Buyer role with strong growth potential into full supplier ownership and negotiation responsibilities. The Junior Buyer role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow their skills in procurement and supply chain.
You will support key activities such as sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, and Finance, you will contribute to the success of the organization.
Over time, this role will develop into ownership of supplier sourcing, negotiations, and strategic procurement initiatives.
How You'll Contribute
Purchase Order, Job Orders & ERP Execution
• Monitor ERP system and trigger suggested purchase orders and job orders
• Create purchase orders to support non-inventory and R&D requests
• Follow released specifications for inventory materials and assist with cycle count checks
• Track order status and follow up on delays to ensure on-time delivery
• Support inventory planning and collaborate on maintaining optimal stock levels
Supplier Relationship Management
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
• Generate reports and insights to support annual supplier reviews
• Resolve supplier issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Assist in supplier sourcing and evaluation activities
• Support negotiation preparation and analysis
Cross-Functional Coordination & Planning
• Work with different departments to ensure smooth and efficient process flow
• Support demand planning and coordinate with suppliers to meet targeted lead times
Contract & Compliance Support
• Review and maintain contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy
Cost Analysis & Continuous Improvement
• Analyze pricing trends and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities
• Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in any field; supply chain, business, or related fields are preferred
- Interest in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or operations, particularly within a manufacturing environment
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong willingness to learn and grow
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Comfortable learning and using new systems and technology
- Previous experience in a related field is a plus, but not required
