Part-time Assistant Brewer
Must have significant experience as a home brewer. Alcona Brew Haus in Harrisville is a looking for someone with a passion for brewing to join our Team in our state of the art 7bbl brewhouse operation!
Job Responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to standard operating and safety procedures in wort production, vessel cleaning and sanitation, yeast handling, fermentation and maturation, sample collecting operations
- Communicate to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
- Understand and adhere to recipes and formulas.
- Fermentation monitoring and documentation
- Dry hopping
- CIP/SIP of all brewery and cellar vesels
- Transfers of wort and beer in progress
- Carbonation of beer and kegging beer from brite tank
- Keg washing
- Perform equipment maintenance, sanitation, and regular housekeeping for all brewery areas
- Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Support the safeguarding of raw materials for quality assurance
- Assist in loading and unloading grains
- Ensure fresh product to customers, stage keg and reconcile inventory
- Ensure a clean and sanitary working environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations and requirements
