In this role, a typical day will include:
- Providing a safe working environment that complies with applicable standards and ensuring that associates are working safely.
- Continuously monitoring work areas for good safety and housekeeping practices; identifying, resolving, and reporting safety hazards.
- Operating in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet commitments within Alcon’s standards (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, Conduct).
- Creating a positive work environment that engages associates and enables and rewards strong performance.
- Ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all associates, in accordance with company policies & procedures, as well as employment law.
- Developing organizational capability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Providing front line supervision, leadership, and work direction to production teams, including time and attendance, performance management, training oversight and development.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 10 yrs; Assoc. 6yrs; M.S. 0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- 1 Year of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work hours: Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM- 3:30 PM
- Travel Requirements: 0 – 10%
