In this role, a typical day will include:
- Manage a small team of Equipment Engineers
- Learn and specialize in manufacturing equipment
- Specify requirements and procedures for new and existing equipment
- Purchase and own the installation and qualification of new equipment and retrofits
- Adapt manufacturing equipment in response to factory conditions
- Conduct tests through all stages of production to improve control over applicable variables and troubleshoot/solve production problems
- Develop and perform change control and qualification activities
- Provide guidance to Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Training on technical details that will best use equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Ensure that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs.; Assoc. 9 yrs.; M.S. 2 yrs.; PhD 1 yr.)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 5 Years of Relevant Experience
- 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work hours: Exempt
- Travel Requirements: 2-10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in engineering field (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Computer programming experience
