Duties
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and preschool curricula
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques
- Support children’s physical development by teaching physical education activities and promoting healthy habits
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored curriculum adaptations for children requiring special education or early intervention services
- Monitor and assess student progress through standardized testing, tutoring sessions, and ongoing observations
- Engage with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral updates, and developmental milestones
- Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare and daycare best practices
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field from an accredited institution
- Proven experience working with children in classroom or daycare settings, including preschool experience and toddler care
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention support
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and practices to ensure a safe learning environment
