SummaryAlcon Welders will be responsible and have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Welders will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and producing welded assemblies according to specifications and quality standards.Benefits

Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures. Welders must wear the following personal protective equipment at all times: Protective eyewear (welding helmet or other as prescribed), Protective handwear (welding gloves as instructed), Hearing protection, Metatarsal safety shoes, and Welder mask to assure breathing protection, as instructed. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
