Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes
- Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems
- Assist with materials handling including heavy lifting and moving items within the warehouse
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all operations
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Support warehouse management in organizing storage areas for optimal efficiency
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Follow safety protocols during all aspects of shipping & receiving activities
- Material marking with approved customer codes.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and material handling
- Proficiency with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, crane, and pallet jacks
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes including loading & unloading procedures
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
