Pay Type: Hourly, bi-weekly.

Work Location: 2581 Coffeytown Road, Cottage Grove WI 53527.

Core Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with available overtime hours/pay.

Logistics CDL Driver, Class A CDL - Essential Responsibilities

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Logistics CDL Driver to join our team. This role involves operating a semi-truck to transport uncontaminated loads of seed, grain, fertilizer, and other agricultural products. We take pride in our long-standing driver retention, with many team members serving for decades.

• Safely operate semi-trucks, including Hopper Bottom and Live-Floor (Belt) trailers, in compliance with all traffic laws and defensive driving practices
• Ensure timely daily pickup and delivery of agricultural commodities
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance
• Utilize pallet jacks to load/unload products from dry vans when necessary
• Maintain delivery records and verify accurate loading and unloading procedures
• Clean truck thoroughly between product changes to prevent contamination
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit
• Lock cab and cargo doors when unattended
• Refrain from using cell phones or handheld devices while driving
• Drive cautiously and responsibly in all weather and road conditions
• Collaborate across departments to support broader business operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements

Logistics CDL Driver, Class A CDL - Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Clean driving record
• Preferred endorsements: Tanker and Hazmat
• Prior experience in Class A CDL delivery preferred
• Basic computer and technology proficiency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks
• Problem-solving mindset with sound judgment
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Resilience and adaptability in challenging situations
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Commitment to outstanding customer service
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Willingness to work in outdoor environments
