This position is critical for safely transporting, loading, unloading, and organising high-value moving client assets in fast-paced warehouse and field settings. Key responsibilities:
- Use forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and stage domestic items, office furniture, and industrial equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and storage vaults effectively.
- Daily inspection and maintenance of forklift equipment is necessary to ensure its operated safely.
- Organise the moving companies warehouse inventory, storage areas, and shipment staging sites.
- Assist with packaging, wrapping, crating, and protecting moving customers goods for transportation.
- Coordinate with drivers, movers, and warehouse staff to achieve project deadlines.
- Follow OSHA's safety regulations and the moving companies guidelines.
- Perform inventory checks and accurately fill out shipment documentation.
- Handle specialised equipment, large gear, and sensitive client materials.
- Assist with residential household goods (HHG) moves as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Previous forklift driving experience within warehouse, logistics, moving, or relocation environments.
- Experience in household goods (HHG) and/or office and industrial (O&I) relocation services.
- OSHA forklift certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and working in demanding environments.
- Excellent teamwork, dependability, and time management abilities.
