Job Overview

Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, and alignment adjustments to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical/automotive diagnostics tools.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function during repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Assist in heavy lifting operations using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support construction equipment servicing such as excavators, cranes, loaders, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and other industrial machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using schematics, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, bulldozers, and other construction machinery.
- Knowledge of OEM standards for vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients.
