Alcatraz LLC is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team and help maintain a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.
Safety Coordinator Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance
- Manage driver qualification files and compliance documentation
- Review HOS/ELD compliance and violations
- Monitor inspections, violations, accidents, and corrective actions
- Assist with drug & alcohol testing requirements
- Conduct driver safety coaching and follow-ups
- Review safety performance and identify areas for improvement
- Assist with accident investigations and claims
- Track CSA-related information and safety trends
- Maintain accurate records and ensure company policies are followed
- Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and customers
Qualifications
- Previous trucking, transportation, DOT, or safety experience preferred
- Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with ELD/HOS compliance preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Safety-focused mindset and professional attitude
