Job Summary:
The CNC Mill Operator I is responsible for assisting with basic CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine operations. The role involves setting up and running CNC Mill machines under close supervision, ensuring components meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Hours - 1st Shift 7am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating CNC Mill machines, following detailed instructions, blueprints, and safety protocols.
- Load raw materials into machines and unload finished parts, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Perform basic inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions against specifications.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- All other duties as assigned.
Environment:
- Duties are often performed in a high-heat environment. Outside temperatures can compound the already high heat environment which can result in heavy perspiration and need for frequent hydration.
- The manufacturing environment has higher levels of air particulate matter than outdoor or office settings. Proper PPE (such as safety glasses) should be always worn.
- All materials on the shop floor should always be considered either hot or sharp or both, proper PPE (such as gloves and sleeves) should be worn while handling materials.
- Equipment operation creates sustained, high decibel noise. Proper PPE (such as hearing protection) should always be worn.
- Duties often require long periods of standing and the ability to lift materials repetitively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a CNC Mill machine and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
