Requirements & Qualifications:
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Endorsements: Doubles Endorsement is REQUIRED.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience.
- Skills: Strong time management, route planning, and basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Bonus Experience: Previous experience driving for FedEx, UPS, Penske, 10 Roads Express, Walmart, Amazon, or a background as an OTR/Team Driver is a major plus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a CMV to transport goods to designated FedEx locations.
- Conduct thorough DOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries per company and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and FedEx personnel regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or transport issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and strict safety protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
