Our services include daily group sessions and one-on-one peer support with Certified Peer Support Workers (CPSWs).
Role Description
This full-time, on-site Peer Support Worker role is based in Albuquerque, NM. The individual in this role will engage in providing one-on-one peer support and facilitating daily group sessions to assist individuals with mental health or co-occurring challenges. Responsibilities include helping clients build coping skills, fostering emotional well-being, and connecting them to resources in the community. Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for clients and promoting personal growth will be central to the role.
Qualifications
- Experience providing support services as a Peer Support Worker and understanding of safeguarding practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop trust and connect meaningfully with clients
- Ability to provide technical support when needed and assist clients in accessing virtual services
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and ability to handle sensitive situations thoughtfully
- Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) certification is highly preferred
- Experience with mental health or substance use support services is beneficial
