SIGN SERVICE TECHNICIAN / ELECTRICIAN

Albrecht Sign Company is seeking a full-time Journeyman Sign Maintenance Technician with 3 years' experience who is looking to join our team and whose primary responsibilities would include servicing all types of interior & exterior signs, including directional and wayfinding, channel letter, electrical, post & panel signs, and more. Albrecht is proud to be a Union Installer (IUPAT 82 - Local 880).

Knowledge of electrical and LED systems and some construction experience is preferable. As a full-service sign company we manufacture, install, and service all types of custom interior and exterior illuminated & non-illuminated signage throughout Minnesota. The high volume of work in our service department requires dependable personnel who are committed to their craft. Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and have a clean driving record. Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred but not required. Our technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining commercial electrical/lighting systems for all types of applications. This includes but not limited to troubleshooting, panels, controls, wiring, parking lot lighting, building lighting, interior and exterior signs and lighting of all types.

Looking for someone who lives in the Minneapolis/St Paul area capable of driving to Fridley, MN daily to pick up company truck, materials, and go over daily work orders with Service Manager.

Job Description:

• Trouble shoot, service and maintain electrical sign & lighting systems for commercial properties.
• Trouble shoot, service and maintain site lighting for commercial properties. This would include: parking lot lighting, building lighting interior and exterior lighting - all types of applications
• Trouble shoot service and maintain commercial electric signs - pylon signs, monument signs, building signs.
• Effectively communicate with office staff on status of work orders, time & material required to finish service work after troubleshooting, taking photos of work complete.
• Utilize electronic device to upload information regarding work orders, sign-off forms and work order paperwork.
• Maintain stock inventory on service vehicle.
• Ordering specialty parts.
• Service orders will be in your local area with minimal over-night travel
• Must be accessible and responsive to emergency calls when needed

Requirements:

• Bucket truck / Arial Lift - experience a must
• Valid driver's license - CDL preferred
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screening
• Must have own Tools, specialty tools and safety equipment is provided by company

Note: This is an hourly (not salary) position that doesn't fluctuate based on driving or working in the field.

Salary:

• $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (7-3:30 or until work is complete)
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Bucket truck / Arial Lift: 1 year (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required)
• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 100'

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• CDL (Preferred)
• Medical DOT Health Card (Must have ability to get and maintain)
• MN State Electrical License (Required)
• OSHA-30 (Union Provided Training)
• Arial Lift Safety (Union Provided Training)
• Scissors Lift Safety (Union Provided Training)
