Meat Wrapper

A Meat Wrapper prepares, packages, and labels meat products for retail sale, ensuring proper sanitation, inventory rotation, and attractive display cases. They maintain food safety standards, operate wrapping machinery, and provide customer service in a refrigerated environment, often lifting 25–50 pounds. 

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: 1^st and foremost, Assist customers with special orders or product questions in a courteous manner.
• Packaging & Labeling: Weigh, wrap, and price meat products, ensuring accurate labels and high-quality presentation.
• Sanitation & Safety: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and tools according to company and Health Department regulations.
• Inventory & Display: Stock, rotate, and merchandise products in display cases to ensure freshness and minimize shrink.
• Equipment Operation: Utilize manual or automatic wrapping machines, scales, and label printers. 

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and work in a cold, refrigerated environment.

• Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safe handling of meat.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately label, price, and identify products.
• Experience: Previous experience in retail meat or food service is often preferred but not always required. 

AVAILABILITYThis position requires availability on both week days and weekends.

The department is open from 7am-7pm and shift will vary.

We are closed 3 holidays, all others may have scheduled shift.
