Description
Albion College invites applications for the Barn Lead position. The Barn Lead staff are typically scheduled for up to 8 hour shifts which may begin as early as 6:30 AM to as late as 7:00 PM and the facility is open 7 days per week. Primary responsibility is daily care of the horses and stable operations at the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center, while also providing training and direction to barn crew and volunteers. Must contribute to a campus climate that emphasizes a commitment to working with individuals and groups from a variety of identities, cultures and backgrounds.
FLSA Classification: Salaried/ Non-Exempt
Employment Status: At-Will
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with horses/large animals and in a barn facility
- Experience clipping and bathing horses
- Experience providing medical care to horses
