Systems Admin

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities
• Expertise in managing all aspects of a Linux environment, including scripting
• Analyze computing requirements
• Lead a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
• Lead activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components
• Lead activities to plan, develop, design, and integrate all computer applications
• Plan and coordinate highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release
• Ensure systems conforms to architectural objectives
• Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability
• Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations
• Perform complex system problem identification and resolution
• Lead activities to integrate security solutions into information systems
• Develop project plans for the implementation of Linux systems into a computing environment
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Active CompTIA Security certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
• 3 years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
• 3 years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher
• 3 years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
• 3 years of experience with Kickstart Scripts
• 3 years of experience with Bash
• Experience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
  
  
  

Due to the nature of the work, candidate's must have an active Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is required.
